Ceremonies

Survivor Celebration Sat, May 31
10 a.m.
The courage and strength of our event’s cancer survivors is celebrated as they are presented with commemorative medals or pins, and join one another for a special Survivor Lap around the track, followed by a reception.  
Caregiver Lap Immediately following Survivor lap A special ceremony is held as survivors extend a heartfelt “thank you” to their caregivers. Caregivers are presented with a commemorative medal or pin honoring their love, dedication and support.  
Team Captain Lap Immediately following Caregiver lap This lap celebrates and recognizes the hard work and dedication of our team captains.
Children’s Hour Sat, May 31
3 p.m.
Celebration by children in the fight against cancer and the children’s lap  
Luminaria Ceremony Sat, May 31
9 p.m.
The soft glow of candlelight illuminates the relay site as the track is ringed in luminaria candles—each white bag is inscribed with the name of a loved one being honored or remembered.  
Closing Ceremony Sun, June 1
9:30am
The Relay event may have ended, but the cause continues...be there for a celebration and acknowledgment of the contribution to our community and the fight to end cancer. Awards are presented, notes of gratitude given, and news of next years Relay is provided.
