Mountain
of
Courage

Each and every one of us has been closely affected by cancer in some way. We are brought together by the Relay For Life to support and remember those close to our hearts. The Mountain of Courage has been created to honor cancer survivors and to remember loved ones that have lost their battle with cancer.

The mountain portrayed on the wall represents the uphill battle that each cancer patient has endured. The peaks of the mountain symbolize the importance of Courage, Strength, Hope and Faith. These few and inspiring words describe the determination of those effected by cancer.
All are welcome to participate in the Mountain of Courage by displaying names, poems, notes, and/or pictures in honor or in memory of loved ones throughout the Relay For Life event. Bring your items for the Mountain of Courage, which is located under the main tent, and share your memories and thoughts. Throughout the day, take time to read the many inspirational and emotional stories.
