Have you ever noticed the banners that hang from the street lights of our Hometowns and Schools?   In order to turn the Pottsgrove stadium into our very own “Relay Hometown”, each team is asked to create an 18x42” banner that has their team name, the date of 2008, and something unique to their team decorated on it.  The banners will hang from PVC pipe poles that will be attached to the interior fence encircling the track turning it into our Relay Main Street!

The material for the banner can be obtained in one of two ways:

Option 1:  Purchase a piece of white nylon fabric from a fabric store.  The unfinished size of material should be 18x48”.  A 3” pocket will need to be sewn at the top and bottom to slide onto the pole.  The finished size of the banner must be 18x42”.   

Option 2:  Purchase a pre-made 18x42” white nylon banner for $5.00 - all you need to do is decorate it!!  Banners can be ordered at Team Captain Meetings by completing and submitting the order form, or by contacting Rita Miskiewicz at project@pottstownrelayforlife.com.  Please note that pre-made banner material must be ordered by May 1, 2008.
