In 2006, 6 year old Carlos listened as his Kindergarten teacher shared her experience with cancer. On the way to school one day, he found a dime and brought it to his teacher and asked that she, "Please use this dime to cure cancer." Here is a little boy whose heart reached out to help other people. His simple act of kindness motivated the Pottstown community to raise over $45,000 in the past two years for the Relay For Life of Pottstown!
On May 30-31, 2009, the 12th American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Pottstown will be held at the Pottsgrove High School. To honor Carlos' generous act of kindness and the generous spirit of our cancer survivors, caregivers, teams, and sponsors won't you please do the same and share your dimes with ACS to help Carlos' wish become a reality?
Take part in the DMAD Team Challenge
The team that deposits the most dimes from one
Team Captain meeting to the day before the next
Team Captain meeting
will get a prize.
Dime Fun Fact: A water bottle holds $92 worth of dimes!
If each Relayer collects one Dimes bottle, the
Relay For Life of Pottstown would collect $276,000!
