Start Collecting Dimes

IDEAS that are working….

  • Teams & team members distribute story cards, and clear containers with Dime labels to friends, coworkers, businesses, etc. (Recycling bottles works well!) Containers are collected when they are full or upon request.
  • An elementary school is going to have a fish tank in the library to hold dimes as they are collected. Kids take turns having the honor of emptying their teachers dime bottles into the fish tank and watching the dimes fill up.
  • A Curves has a large clear container at the front counter with a cow bell next to it. As members drop dimes in the container, they ring the bell and everyone cheers!
  • Another Curves has dimes labels on the water bottles they sell for $1.00. After the people who buy the water drink it, they re-fill it with dimes & return it to Curves for Curves gift dollars!
  • Businesses have bottles in every department to see who fills their bottle first and win
  • Children have dimes bottles in their rooms and do chores that are rewarded in dimes to see whose bottle gets filled first
  • Businesses have dimes containers that when they are filled, will have a contest to guess how many dimes are in the container – for a prize.
  • Businesses have dimes containers in their cafeteria next to the cash register. Employees donate their change from lunch.
