Relay-Wide Fundraiser is a fundraising opportunity
that is available to all teams in the Relay
For Life of Pottstown! The money you raise
by participating in any of these opportunities
will be credited to either you or your team!

Cell
Phone Redemption - Are you
looking for an easy way to raise money
without doing much work? Do you have a
drawer full of old cell phones? Is your
company issuing new phones to employees?
Gather up those old cell phones and ask
your friends, neighbors, co-workers or
businesses for theirs. The Relay for Life
of Pottstown can receive cash back for
each phone donated! Phones can be turned
in at Kickoff, Team Captain Meetings or
in any of the collection boxes located
at the Pottstown Memorial Regional Cancer
Center, the Pottstown Memorial Regional
Radiation Center, Coventry Mall Customer
Service, Montgomery County Community College,
Diamond Credit Union, Curves of Pottstown
or Art Lines. When dropping off phones,
please put them in a clearly marked bag/box
labeled with your team name so your team
can get the appropriate credit.
Reading
Phillies – Enjoy
a family outing with the Reading Phillies!
Books of 6 tickets are available for only
$27 (a $21 discount) which are good at
any of the 2009 home games. Your team will
receive credit of $10 for each book ordered.
Pick up an order form at the Relay Wide
Fundraising table.
HOPE
Notecards – Do
you need an inspirational card to send
as a thank you or just to let someone know
you are thinking of them? Blank 4x6" note
cards with Michael Basile's photograph
of HOPE created from luminaria decorated
by our local school children are available
for $1.00 each. Redners
Save a Tape - Would
you like 1% your grocery bill to benefit
the Relay For Life of Pottstown and the
American Cancer Society? If so, register
for a Redner's "Save-A-Tape" card
at any Redner’s courtesy counter
or pick one up at the Relay Wide Fundraising
table. Just present your Redner’s
Save-A-Tape card to the cashier before
you start your order and a Save-A-Tape
number will be printed on the bottom
of the receipt.They can even give duplicate
receipts if you need a copy for yourself!
Ask your friends and family to donate
their Save-A-Tape receipts as well. Tapes
can be brought to Team Captain meetings
and placed in the “Save-A-Tape” box
located on the Relay Wide Fundraiser
table. Due to the structure of the program
teams cannot be credited individually,
but the Relay as a whole will benefit.
Please note that only tapes with "Save-A-Tape"
information at the bottom of the receipt will be
will be accepted for the program.

Recycling – The
Warwick Child Care-Cedarville Center has partnered
with Abitibi Paper Retriever in a RFL fundraising effort. You
can recycle paper, newspapers catalogs, magazines,
junk mail, weekly advertisement circulars, TV Guides,
folders, construction and poster paper, shredded paper,
spiral notebook/theme books, office and school mail
24 hours a day 7 days a week at the Warwick Child Care-Cedarville
Center. (If dropping off shredded paper – please
put in a bag. If dropping off theme books – please
take off the front and back hardcover – the metal
spiral may remain intact. You do not need to remove
staples from paper. Please no cardboard or phonebooks).
It's
easy....just collect your trash and drop it
off at your convenience in the green and yellow
recycling bin located at the side of the Warwick
Child Care building at 16 E. Cedarville Rd,
Pottstown PA. Not only can you turn your
trash to money for the Relay For Life, every
time the bin is filled you help save 17 trees
from being cut down, 7,000 gallons of water,
390 gallons of oil and 60 pounds of air emissions! |
