This
event is a celebration of life for cancer survivors. Relay For Life is our way of honoring cancer survivors
for their courage and strength in battling cancer. Over
500 cancer survivors participated in last year's event,
each and every one of them are a special part of Relay For
Life
What
is a Cancer Survivor? “I am a cancer
survivor” is a very broad statement. Many think
there is a difference between someone who has cancer
now and someone who has successfully beaten the disease.
The American Cancer Society considers a person
a Cancer Survivor from the moment of diagnosis. No
matter what type of cancer, no matter how long the treatment.
It is an empowering viewpoint, giving anyone with the
disease strength to lean on when times get tough…
“I am a cancer survivor...right now.”
